JULIE SCHMITT GERSCH, PH.D. - VICE PRESIDENT OF ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

 

Dr. Julie Gersch completed her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at The University of Akron in Ohio. She completed her internship in St. Paul, Minnesota in the Career and Counseling Center at the University of St. Thomas. Julie completed her geropsychology postdoctoral fellowship with Vericare in Dallas Ft. Worth Texas. For over 11 years, Julie oversaw clinical and business operations in a national healthcare company, managing a variety of behavioral health professionals (psychologists, clinical social workers, psychiatrists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners) including hiring, training, and performance coaching. Throughout her career, Julie has had the opportunity to engage in relationship-based business development, forming strong collaborative working alliances with partner communities and referring physicians and staff. In her role at Cotler Children and Family Services and Cotler Healthcare and Development, Julie remains passionate about developing strategic initiatives for improving quality of care and expanding operations through goal-driven, servant leadership.

KERRY M. COTLER, PH.D. – PRESIDENT

 

Dr. Kerry Cotler received her Ph.D. in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She completed her internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami Medical Center specializing in the neuropsychological assessment and treatment of the elderly. Dr. Cotler founded Cotler Healthcare and Development, Inc (CHCD) over 20 years ago. Her goal was to establish a team of professionals to provide consistent, quality assessment and counseling services to the geriatric population.

Dr. Cotler is responsible for new business development as well as maintaining relationships with Executive Directors, Administrators, Medical Directors, Nursing Directors, and Staff Social Workers in over 200 long term care communities throughout the state of Florida.

MITCHELLE NOBLES - DIRECTOR OF RECRUITEMENT & STAFFING

 

Mitchelle obtained her B.A. from Florida International University, and has an extensive background with over 12 years of experience in the Recruitment & Staffing Industry.  She strategically plans, develops, and directs a robust recruitment and employment program to effectively recruit Cotler clinicians to serve our long term care communities throughout the state of Florida, and support staff for Cotler's administrative offices located in Broward and Palm Beach County.  She works closely with managment to understand current and future workforce needs and develops improvements to staffing processes including sourcing, selection and onboarding.

NATALIE COTLER – DIRECTOR OF CREDENTIALING

 

Natalie oversees the Medicare and managed care insurance credientialing and contracting for Cotler Healthcare and its affiliated companies.  With this, Natalie assists clinicians in becoming in-network providers under the Cotler umbrella.  Natalie also tracks and manages all clinicians credentials to ensure that our provider's information is up to date and valid so there are no barriers to timely reimbursement for services rendered.

KYLEE PLEVIN - EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

 

Kylee obtained her B.A. from Florida Atlantic University.  She has established a virtual workflow to ensure a paperless work environment at our corporate office.  In the last few years, information technology management has become a more integral part of the Cotler business as a result of changes in the overall health care climate.  Kylee is passionate about facilitating the company's use of technology to ensure 21st century office operations, and the ongoing evolution needed to be compliant with new clinical documentation requirements from Medicare and other regulatory bodies.

SARA TAKLANI - REFERRAL DEPARTMENT SUPERVISOR

 

Sara oversees the referral department, ensuring timely processing and customer service.  Sara and her team are in frequent communication with long term care communities, the responsible parties for referred residents, and clinicians in order to coordinate funding and the clinician coverage.  Sara's great attention to detail lends itself well to all front office functions of the Cotler business, and her warm, compassionate approach to customer service is a hallmark of her professional leadership and service.

IRIS GUNSHEFSKI - REVENUE CYCLE MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR 

 

Iris Gunshefski received her A.A. Degree in Buss Administration/Liberal Arts from Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey.  Iris has over 30 years of experience in billing, collections, appeals and office management.  Iris has  vast knowledge and experience in various specialties. She attends various seminars to keep up with the many changes in Insurance trends and requirements.

LATIA RICKETTS - STAFFING COORDINATOR

 

Latia’s background includes over 7 years’ experience in healthcare recruitment. She manages the scheduling and coordination of all provider start-ups within our SNF communities.  Latia works diligently to ensure a smooth transition into our communities and is the key point of contact for facilities with staffing questions and clinicians with workload concerns.   Latia creates and maintains daily staffing reports, which include job vacancies, new business potential and internal communication.
